This retrofit is for factory OEM Rear Seat Entainment (RSE III) Low System for S/Q7 4M Pre-Facelift.
 
This provides 2 Audi "Accessory" Tablets (called the RSE III) that are installed into the back of the front seats. When they are docked into the seats they are provided with constant power to ensure the tablets remain charged. The tablets can then connect to the car's built in Wi-Fi Access Point or via a Mobile Phone for Internet access.
 
The tablets can be removed if required and used indoors etc on Wi-fi as per any other tablet.
 
One of the main benefits of these tablets over a normal tablet (e.g. an iPad) is that they are securely locked into the back of the front seats. In the event of an accident these tablets do not dis-engage from the back of the seats and potentially hit the person in the back seat. In addition, the screens are specially designed to not shatter. A normal tablet held to the back of the headrest can easily become detatched in the event of an accident and potentially hit the occupant of the rear seat(s).
 
These tablets are Android based tablets and run Android OS 7.
 
This retrofit has to be done at our workshop in Sussex, UK.
